Casting with your microwave…?

What, you don’t believe me? How would you like to replace your big smelly oven, your way overpriced timer/ controller, and that vacuum machine with a $75 microwave from Walmart? Well, if you master this, it appears to be entirely possible. So who’s going to try it first? I want to hear about it.

My Unimat…

Well, I said a while back that I wanted one, and I got it. My Unimat modular mill thingy. I haven’t had much (read, ANY) time to play with it yet, but I have been able to put it together, and give it a good look over. From the pictures I had seen of it, I had assumed that it was made entirely out of heavy ABS, not so, the main parts are aluminum with the attachments being solid ABS plastic. It appears to be a very solid piece of machinery, and with some pratice and knowledge of excatly what its capable of, Im sure changing it into its numerous configurations will become second nature. Thats all I have for now, when I have a chance to dig into it I will let you know.

Happy New Year…!

Well it was great to have some time off. I met all my deadlines by 6 PM on the December 23rd, and sat back and relaxed. Then 2 extra long weekends that were very rejuvinating. The work is back however, and lots of it, I hope its a sign towards the rest of the year. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and good luck in the new year, I know that some mountain air did me right…;)
