One of the best bench mods I ever did was to permanently attach my benchmate articulated 3rd hand to my bench. It folds neatly out of the way and is always on call when I need it, without taking up valuable bench top real estate.


By simply removing the ball joint from the heavy base and epoxying it into the front face of your bench top, you give yourself an always on call, and ALWAYS in the same spot solution to the “where is that thing” problem. Here are a couple more pics…
